The Golden Pheasant Hotel
The Golden Pheasant, Burford, is surrounded by beautiful countryside and engaging attractions. The nearby towns of Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water (right), Chipping Campden and Broadway offer traditional shopping and beautiful walks with views across the rolling countryside.
Enjoy rural shopping at Daylesford Organic farm shop or visit historic Oxford just 30minutes away. Batsford Arboretum is nearby, as is Chastleton Manor and, for those with children who demand more excitement, the Cotswold Wildlife Park (lower right) is just up the road.
The Golden Pheasant is the ideal base to explore the area as it is filled with hidden treasures to make your stay a magical one. In 1939 the owner advertised the hotel as "good accommodation for families, commercial genetlemen & cyclists with good stabling and motor garage."
Seventy years on, the privately owned Golden Pheasant still offers the same friendly welcome and efficient service but to a global community.
