Its mild climate makes it an oasis where, sheltered from the wind, one can enjoy the sun even in wintertime. The industrial, business and university centres of the region nourish its "green soul" on the hill of Marjan situated in the westernmost part of the peninsula. The forested park fringed by the city and the sea offers pleasant walks through the pine away from the noise of the city.

There are museums, galleries and spaces where, for a moment, you can feel part of past centuries and trace the steps of history with your own.
