Located along the Venediger Höhenweg hiking trail, Prägraten’s Essener-Rostocker Hütte lies on the Venediger Höhenweg and Alpenkönigsroute hiking paths, and the Simonyspitzen and Rostockereck peaks are within walking distance.
Rooms at the Rostocker Hütte have a desk, chair, bunk beds and WiFi against a surcharge. Bathroom facilities are shared. A sleeping bag is required, but can also be purchased at the property.
A buffet breakfast is served each morning, and the on-site restaurant serves local, traditional cuisine. The property has a children’s playground and drying facilities for ski shoes and clothes.
Parking is available in Prägraten and Stöben which are a 2.5-hour hike from the Rostocker Hütte. Luggage transport is a 20-minute walk from the parking lot and is available against a surcharge. Reservation is not needed. During winter, the hut is only reachable on touring skis.
