Marechal Luz Fort, located 15km from the city center, was built in 1909 on ruins. The old battery of coast artillery, made up of four cannons, is still there and is activated every Saturday morning, during the exchange of the flag by soldiers in period costumes.

To visit the place requires prior authorization from the military garrison.
